Mykitas, the Fungal Herald for Sciopius

Mykitas's clay sculpt has arrived!! Mykitas is a Fungus-infested scorpion kaiju created by Sciopius for Colossal Kaiju Combat, and it`s part of the SPN4 Card set.

Origin:  
During the first age of kaiju a massive, almost impregnable scorpion monster reined indomitable in its territory - no kaiju could pierce its hide. Most were smart enough to avoid it; those that weren't became its next meal... It took a microscopic spore to fell the mighty champion, infecting it and feasting off its living flesh. It burrowed into the monster's brain, clogging it with fungal growth, driving it mad. The scorpion kaiju thrashed about, attacking any moving object it found within its sights. Eventually, the fungus stole control as it mimicked a second nervous system within the kaiju. The mighty scorpion had become a slave to the fungus. The fungus began hunting other kaiju to replace the flesh it consumed to keep the scorpion monster animated and enslaved. It bit off more than it could chew attacking a pack of poisonous kaiju. Instinct would have had the scorpion back away, but the fungus was in control and it needed to feed. The toxins of the pack kaiju overwhelmed the parasitic relationship releasing the scorpion from the fungus' embrace. It had one last opportunity as the indomitable king of its territory slaying all of the pack kaiju.

The infested scorpion was still no match for the poisonous concoction and eventually death found it. The fungus hollowed out the exoskeleton of the scorpion monster to put itself in a kind of stasis so that it too did not succumb to the poison. When man eventually came across the timeless corpse, they erected a temple around their dead god, believing that one day he would rise again in precious metal. The Amazonian civilization never got to see the resurrection of their god, the jungle encroaching and swallowing up their civilization and the temple.

In the 1960's, a soviet bomber suffered engine trouble and went down in the Amazon basin. Its payload was half a dozen atomic bombs. None detonated upon impact, but the core shielding of most of the bombs was compromised. The radiation leaked for years mutating the surrounding jungle and irradiating the corpse of the ancient kaiju. A few decades later the crash site was located. The original search team didn't return. The second team was forced to shoot the solitary survivor who had gone mad and attacked them. His own blood was scrawled on the ruins of the temple, most of it cast aside in a giant crater: Mykitas - Evil is Risen.

The thing, Mykitas, that rose from the ruins both is and isn't the scorpion and fungus. The radiation has blended the two together incorporating the ancient toxins and embedding itself into the very fabric of this newly risen monster. Its body is a mass of irradiated living flesh, undead fungally powered tissue and an array of irradiated particles and ancient chemical concoctions that are its weapons/lifeblood.
